It department or it job? they have an actual department called the IT department here but it covers a few functions

My husband works in IT, but I cannot answer any questions about the work environment. IT is big and divided into many groups...so I am guessing that the work environment would vary based on your position and location.

When you say IT department that can mean anyone that works for the IT Department (secretary for example) or you may be asking for someone that actually works with computers .. that could be thousands of employees.
I think the other posters need you to be more specific. What department? What job le? What location? Or you can tell us the name of your prospective department and list your questions. Maybe someone on this board has a friend they can ask and get the information for you.

That sounds like the COD ( computer operations division/department) I only know a guy there and not very well sorry .

Assuming the job relates to the company's main Citrix servers then it does sound like it would be in the Computer Operations Dept.
Just to give you an idea, COD is just one of 13 departments in the IT organization and each dept would have several divisions (COD has 9) with each division further divided into groups. The division that I think controls the Citrix servers has 5 groups and each group would probably have around 10 members.
If you are talking about the physical work environment, you would most likely be in the Al-Midra Tower but that's about as much as I could tell you.
