Hi all, I think many of us don't know how the probation period looks like? Here in NA there is not much expectation for first couple of months as we spend this time to understand the environment and specific standards of the company. I don't think much out put is expected for the first few month. Impression I have is that Saudi Aramco probation is kind of proof yourself which is fine, however by accepting an offer many of us would be giving up a set and secure job so I think there must be flexibity during probation but I m not sure. What should be the strategy of an expat for a succeful probation period?

Aramco is such a huge organization and it completely depends on the dept you are joining. Ive read that people have had loads to do in the first 3 months but in my case I was pretty much spoon fed during my probation and wasnt really given an opportunity to shine or to fail.

This is an excellent post and something I was wondering about as well. I have read posts where a couple of people have been let go because of personality clashes. My suggestion would be to go above and beyond and make your job work for you. If you cannot do it, find out how and/or speak up.
