I should be getting an offer this week under family status.
My teen age kids have had summer jobs here at home: is there any chance children of employees can get jobs on the camp doing landscaping or other similar things?
I don't want kids to get lazy!

Opportunities for teen employment are limited here, since there are no such jobs to be had in shops or restaurants, and so many people employ gardeners and cleaners already. Babysitting, tutoring, and swim coaching (if qualified) are options.

Teens with lifeguard certifications can sometimes get jobs through recreation at the pools, as well as giving private swim lessons.
The hospital has a volunteer program, but do not know if it has an age limit.
Our son was interested in automotive technology and volunteered at AAA with the workers there for 2 summers.

Pet sitting could be a lucrative opportunity. Many Aramcons prefer to have their pets remain in their homes while they are away on holiday (as opposed to boarding at the Kennel Club). A trustworthy pet sitter would be in high demand, particularly during summer months and company break periods. While many people employ domestic helpers, not all families do, and sometimes the helper is gone with the family, or isn't at their home full-time. There are many instances when a reliable teen in the camp could find pet sitting and indoor plant care jobs. Extra helpful if the teen has experience beyond dogs and cats, such as fish, birds and rabbits. It would be a fun job, and easy to get the word out once a few customers have been served. Even a job your kids could do together as a little team.

Thank-you all for the comments.
I have my conditional offer and should be assigned a relocation adviser next week.
Excited to come over!

Hi,
My question can wait until arrival, but I wonder if there is or could be a list of pet-sitters where people take care of each others' pets while the owners are away on vacation, or if there is a list of pet sitters that one can find upon arrival?
If anyone knows if there is something like this in place, it would be nice to know; thanks!

No list, friends watch pets for friends all the time. Some people do pay pet sitters, also found by word of mouth. The Kennel Club might have a few names if you call them. Their number will be on the phone list in your home on arrival.
