Hi all,
My husband and I both grew up in Dhahran during the 70's, 80's and 90's. After nearly 20 years stateside, we are interested in returning to raise our own family. I am curious to know if there are any other "brats" in this forum who have returned years later as employees? If so, could you share your experience with the process and how life has changed, or not changed, in Saudi Aramco. After reading some posts in different forums, it seems the application and interview process is the same, long and slow. Living in KSA is a serious lesson in patience. Insh, we will have the opportunity to return to KSA and to work for Saudi Aramco.

I do know some brats back here as employees. They are not on the forum. If you send me an email with your questions I will forward it to them. vpainter29@yahoo.com

lulykr,
We will be moving to Dhahran in a few months with 3 small kids. Sometimes I wonder how the slow-paced life in KSA will impact them in the long-run. When the time comes for them to move back to the U.S., will they be able to adjust to the fast-paced western society and have a successful life/career?
What's your take? How did you all adjust back to life in the U.S.?

I know there were two Aramco Brats (kids of Aramco employees, for those who don't know) at the April 8 orientation, both leaving for KSA in a few months, and both of whom lived in DHA in (at least portions of) the 70's and 80's.

Revive, I know of lots of Aramco brats (my daughter included) who have move back to western countries (US, UK, Canada etc). I am not aware of any of them having trouble adjusting to the pace of "western society."
