Dear members,
I´m in the BI phase after receiving my offer. I have a question about the family status:
we are from the Netherlands and we are registred partners. In the Netherlands we actually are considered as being married, same rights as an actual married couple. Does the same apply in SA? Will we be eligable to obtain family status when my family will come to SA?
Thank you in advance

You have to provide a marriage certification otherwise they won't be considering it

As mentioned by Mantaray, without a marriage certificate, SA won't even consider giving you family status.

Could anyone tell why article 4 of Annex B to Employment Contract mentions that for employees with GC 11-14 Saudi Aramco DOES not grant any in-camp housing? Been reading through my revized offer (single into family) any could not believe my eyes. Same non-binding clause is provided under article 5 of the same strange Annex B. I thought SA is facilitating families to move to KSA and all advertisments shows that! It seems that from the contract perspective things are showing another side of the story??? Thanks a heaps for your opinion on this curous matter!

Irishcoffee, Because that is the standard policy for non-US/C payrolls and has been for at least the last 30 years (and probably even before that). Having said that, it is extremely common for GC 11-14 employees who are not on the US/C payroll to be given what is called "out of policy" family camp housing in the compounds other than Dhahran. In Dhahran it is much less frequently granted.

Irishcoffee,
After the reminder you shared above, I rechecked my package, especially Annex B item 4 about housing. It writes that, Family Status GC 11-14 will be supplied either out-of camp housing, or In-Camp housing according to the availability. Both My job location and housing location is RT. So I am now confused to if I will be given In-camp housing or Out-of Camp housing. The best answer is by your relocation advisor. For RT, the family status housing is on Nejmah Compound, which is Aramco camp. And in RT (not only in DH or for US Payroll), Aramco compound housing is given to new employees.

Advisor told me that best case scenario would be in-camp housing in ABQ for GC 13 Euro family status as newby to work in DH (of course this is subject to OOP approval due to the change from single status)! So ...another happy comuter on the daily menu  Thanks for your thoughts! Cheers
