Good day to all!
I will be moving to Saudi Arabia this month, however, there are still some gray areas in my contract. It was stated that I am GC11 but the offer for me is bachelor status. Is it possible to apply for family status once I arrive in Saudi Arabia?
How much does Aramco charge for Bachelor houses in Udhailiyah? What are the stuff that I need to bring? Is the accommodation fully furnished? Do I need to bring washing machine, blanket, pillow, bed sheets, iron/ironing board, television, and internet connection? Am I allowed to bring router so that I can have wifi connection inside my accommodation?
Thank you very much.

Aramco has lately been requiring a completion of the probationary period prior to family status being granted. No one on the forum can guarantee you family status, but GC 11 is eligible for family status. I can give you a contact person in UDH if you email me: vpainter29@yahoo.comBachelor housing is basically furnished, hopefully someone will be able to tell you charges. You furnish your own TV, iron and ironing board, DSL is purchased from Aramco. The new routers are also wireless. You will want your coffee machine if you drink coffee. Some of the bachelors will hopefully answer.

I am not sure about the permanent bachelor housing, but in the transient housing (male bachelors 11+ GC) there is no space for a washing machine. They have a couple of free laundromats with several washing machines and dryers or you can choose to send your laundry out through one of the laundry services on camp. They provide basic kitchenware and furniture. You need a TV and a router. You can request Aramco DSL internet service. You'll need your own bedding and iron/ironing board.

Good day all,
I`m quite new with this forum. I would also like to know about housing in UDH. I will be departing next 10 April for Dammam. My contract is for an Engineer III assigned to Hawiyah Gas plant. The contract states that I will be bachelors status.
Is there a possiblity that I can bring my wife and baby after 6 months to stay with me in UDH? I know that it is bachelors status but maybe it will be possible to negotiate with Aramco , and I will pay for my accomodation? Ultimately I will have to stay in hofuf with my family and drive to work every day?
What is the traveling time from UDH to Hawiyah? The working time as stated in my contract is 8h /day. Is this including lunch brake of excluding? What time you I start to work, 07:00 - 15:00 or 15:30?
Kind Regards

If you aren't able to get your status changed to family, then your family will not be allowed to stay in the UDH compound. You could bring them on family visit visas and stay in Hofuf, but I don't know how that would work in the long term.
The regular working day is 7 am to 4 pm, with a 1 hour lunch break which is usually 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. I'm sure some departments are different.
Hawiyah Gas Plant is close to UDH, but I'm not sure how long it takes to drive there.

Men on bachelor status can bring their families for a visit. You have to fill out paperwork to get their visas and part of that paperwork is the approval by housing to have them stay in your bachelor accommodation. If approved you can get furniture warehouse to deliver you a crib if they have one. If you have a twin size bed, you can ask furniture warehouse for a double or queen size bed.
Their stay will be determined by the length of stay given by the visa.
I wish you well on converting to family status. Never hurts to ask and continue to regularly ask.

I asked my husband about Hawiyah Gas Plant. He said it's about 45 km from UDH.
Sorry for the wrong information about the family visitors. I hope you'll be able to change to family status.
