Does anyone know if Aramco still pays for excess airline baggage? If so, how many pieces will they pay for? This whole 110/220 volt dilemma has created a rather large wrinkle in my planning!!!

Yes they do for UK/Euro payroll at least. The amount depends on your status, ask and you should be told before you travel.

Aramco has sorted out the 110V problem with customs, you should be able to ship your 110/120V appliances without problem. I would make address label stickers and place them on all the boxes in your shipment with your name, Badge number if you have it, Saudi Aramco and which compound you are going to. That way custom's sees right away your shipment is for Aramco.
