Hi Everyone, I'm in the middle of the processing phase and have just been asked to provide further details of my wife's medical history. Basically she had diabetes (pregnancy related) which her last blood test after the birth of our 3rd child confirmed she is cleared. Hopefully no further issues here. She unfortunately has another condition regarding her skin. She is currently taking expensive medication to treat this, which is only available in some pharmacies in the UAE (currently where we reside). My questions are this: 1. What is likelihood that the same medication would be available in KSA/Aramco pharmacies? How well are they stocked compared to other GCC countries? 2. If the medication was available but is too expensive, does Aramco typically consider her a medical liability (even if the condition is non life threatening). If I'm still deemed medically fit, what typically happens in such cases? Would appreciate any notes or thoughts from those who have gone through this process, or had similar experiences. Have been reading other posts that state its up to the department and doctor reviewing the case, but still past examples may help us prepare for what lies ahead a little more. Cheers and greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

There have been men whose wives did not pass the medical. They get hired bachelor status and the wife visits (U.S. citizens can get 5 year visitor visas and just go to Bahrain when she needs to exit and re-enter); or they get a place in Bahrain and the husband commutes; or the husband decides not to take this job. If your wife should be denied, then you can talk to the department hiring you and ask for an exception. Sometimes this works. Aramco has pretty well stocked pharmacies and if they need a medication for a patient they can order it or the patient chooses to bring it in if Aramco cannot get it. 1. Since we don't know what medication you are talking about, no one can tell you if Aramco has it. If you'd prefer emailing me, I will ask my friend who is a pharmacist if they have it. vpainter29@yahoo.com2. No one can answer this. This will be up to the Aramco doctor who reviews her medical records.
