I have just finished my interviews and while waiting on a possible offer as a company man in Saudi. My wife and I have been having endless conversations on this possability and after viewing the compounds she was a little depressed when I told her we would probably be in UDH. The presentation in Houston showed a more promising photos of the larger administrative compound.
I am just wanting to hear from any one of their experience in UDH. I am 40, married, and have two girls 14 & 4. Is there a really good website with updated pictures of the grounds. I understand it was changed from a bachelor camp to family housing. We are unsure of a town home or modular home. Is there pretty much all the personal ammenities you need on the grounds or is 45 minutes to town always necessary. I have travelled all over the world (hunting primarily) however, my wife has never left the country and naturally is nervous. Will there be welcoming people at the camp, what if they dont like us, what is there for me to do, what about our daughter turning 15 (boarding school).
If anyone could fill in a few blanks, I would be very grateful. We live just 20 miles north of Reynosa, Mexico in the South Texas border and from what I have seen it is safer for the family than on the border "here" these days. I'm sure everyone has seen the show "Border Wars". Its my back yard and this organization has all the answers I am looking for in a relocation. I am trying to help her find some peace with it. Even though she is still eager.
Regards,
TRR
