Applied for a position with Aramco through an agency and had tele-interview with Aramco UK in November. A few days later the agency confirmed to me that Aramco wished to make me an offer and requested pay stubs / passport page etc which I duly forwarded.
After hearing nothing for 6 weeks I asked the agency if any progress had been made and they confirmed that they spoke to Aramco and an offer was being drawn up. After 12 weeks I had still had no offer so followed up with the agent again who this time replied that his attempts to contact Aramco were not being answered.
It is now approaching 4 months and I am concerned that there may have been a communication or processing error either within Aramco or the Agency. I am a little familiar with Aramco as my wife once worked for them and I was definately told an "offer" would be made rather than being put on "hold". I know the process can take time and that is no problem in itself but I would just like the assurance that an offer is still pending - of course it might not even be viable for me but this uncertainty is far from ideal. :?
Can somebody PM me a contact in Aramco HR who I can follow up this with or offer any advice?

Bogman, I can tell you that your timeline is perfectly normal in coming to work for Aramco. No one can guarantee you have a job, but the timeline you have is very common for those coming to work for Aramco. You have waited 4 months, but some have waited over a year and everywhere in between. The patience required to come to work for Aramco truly prepares you for the patience required to come to a different culture. Things work, they just work differently than what you are used to. Please do a search on the forum for Timeline and read the variety of timelines listed there. I hope this will make you feel better as you wait.
I recommend you do keep in touch with your contact person at reasonably spaced intervals, just meaning don't be a pest, but stay informed.

Roger that VP ........... I read the various timeline posts and as I say - my wife worked there - so we are aware of the timescale involved. I thought they would be more proactive in keeping us informed though and wasn't sure the "radio silence" was normal.

Another related question. What if I see an advert on the Aramco website for another position that I appear suitable for - should I apply? How would my previous application for which I am still awaiting an "offer" be handled? From my side I'm still available since no offer has actually been made for the last position I interviewed for but I don't know if this is "allowed" by Aramco HR or if it would confuse things within Aramco.

Apply for any job you would like to have, since you have not received an offer. Sometimes Aramco looks at an application for one job and shifts it to another.

I was Interviewed by Aramco Services In Houston in Mid of December, 2012. I was told same day via e-mail by Recruiter that Interview is Positive and to send them two latest Pay Stamps. I sent two latest Pay stamps and never heared back from them. It has been approx three months now and I am really worried, at least they should send written offer, then delay can happen in rest of process, I understand that part. I called Recruiter several times and she never picks phone, except once, when she told she will check with them and get back to me. It has been two weeks since she said. She also never replies to any e-amil to give update. My question to forum is 1: How long usually it takes to send written offer, is there any hope I will still get it. 2: Is there possibility, that they forgot, due to process of two offices (KSA and Houston), may be miscommunication between two offices, Just guess, I dont know. 3: Should I contact the persons who Interviewed me. Will there be any negative or possitive effect. For timebeing, I even do not know their names, and recruiter has not told me either yet. 4: Should I apply for other jobs still? Please answer all questions, I really want to work for Aramco and move to middle east due to family issues. Regards,

Consensus seems to be that the timeline to offer can easily run into 6 months or a year even. There are people on here who waited that long but I wonder if the opposite has also happened - people were told an offer would be made but it never was?
