Would like to say hi to everyone as well as big thanks to the moderators who have been helping all of us knowing more about SA and KSA. Hopefully we will be joining you all in KSA, and exactly in ABQ.
Just a brief summary on the timeline, interview was done by AOC UK around Nov 2012 and things went pretty quiet until early Jan, when there's a call from UK telling me that a UPS package will be on its way by mid Jan. We prepared the forms, questionnaires, copy of edu certs/qualifications in the next 4 days and we sent the return envelope with most of the required docs back to UK by 18 Jan. Two days later, they have received the package and have assigned a relocation advisor who went through the outstanding docs with me.
On 23 Jan, I sent the outstanding forms for school registration (vaccination, report cards) and on the same morning, I was approached by the company who does BI checks for SA. I furnished all the required information to them and we're now waiting for the next step from them.
A few questions if I may:
a) Any suggested flight path/most convenient route to Dammam from South East Asia (with wife and 2 kids aged 8 and 4)?
b) Car rental on the early days (before Iqama)
What would be the preferred identification if our passports are being given to SA colleagues right after the arrival in DMM? Would they give us a temporary SA badge which can be used as an ID card for car rental?
Read somewhere that it'll cost around 2400 SR/mo for a car rental. May i know what type of car/which year is this pricing point entails? 3lt saloon/sedan, hatchback, station wagon?
c) Driving license conversion
I read that there is a list of countries whose driving licenses can be immediately converted, without us having to take driving/theory tests.
Is this true? Can anyone shed some light on which countries they are?

fingers crossed. Was interviewed by the downstream side, for a supply chain role; so neither FI nor ENG.
