(Not Really) Definitive Timeline Data Post

Like many of you (I think), I've wondered how my experience compares with those who have come before. I've scanned the Timeline posts, but wanted a bit better ... understanding. So, I've sed out the information provided by about 30 people (edit: now 43) in various posts, and did some light statistical yses (very light, given the small pool and large variability). I'll show my results in a second.

But first, some notes:

[/i] vary. In other words, this information is based on self-reported dates by people you and I probably have not met. They may be longer, shorter, or exactly like the experience you or I will have. Vacations, holidays, etc., can also screw with the timing; there have also been reports that the ASC pushes to get people out at the end of the year, so there may be delays for those early in the process. I don't know if it's true.[/*:m]
[*]Note that some people have waited EIGHT MONTHS between (successful) interview and actual offer. Others have waited at least as long between the completion of everything else and receiving a visa. Use the information as a yardstick, not a rule.[/*:m]
[*]I couldn't attach the spreadsheet I used to this post (no xls, csv, txt files allowed; honestly, I don't understand why that feature is enabled...). I did indicate the usernames and threads from which I got the data. Feel free to follow my path, if you want.[/*:m]
[*]I'll provide (below) elapsed days from the last interview (i.e., interview to the request for paystubs, or interview to departure). Some people had more than one interview, but including that extra time changes the numbers (given the small data set) and, honestly, I wanted to know how long things took from the successful interview.[/*:m]
[*]For those who don't remember, median is the point at which half of the people took more time, and half took less. The max and min values are just those for the data in the set; if your time is longer (or shorter) then Congratulations! You're the new max (or min). Nothing about this post is intended to imply that your experience will follow within the same timeframe.[/i] As the financial guys say, past performance does not ensure future results.[/*:m]
[*]Not all people in the data I collected gave the same information (e.g., some didn't indicate when they accepted), or have completed the process. The blanks don't affect the avees, etc. For what it's worth, I only collected data from those who have at least received a written offer.[/*:m]
[*]A large percentage of the respondents were from the Feb 2012 Job Fair in Houston. That may skew the date ranges somewhat; more data could correct that...[/*:m][/list:o]
