I have posted this in another thread too as we have got our passports yesterday. The visa was issued on the 26 of September. Expected date of departure would be the first week of November.What a relief!!!! Yes ,Would love to meet all the lovely people here on this forum. Count us in for the B.B.Q  . tfcfan, I am from Toronto too. We are waiting for our visas too. I am glad there a quite few Canuks in KSA, and a quite a few about to depart there... and the best advice I found here, just patience, a lot of patience...

I applied on November 2011 and now we are waiting for our visas to be issued. We expect to arrive in KSA next November, a year later!

Two questions:
1. Are there anyone still waiting for their BIs to be officially cleared?
2. Who tried calling their reloc the past week and today, but did not go through?
I am still waiting for my BI to clear, and I have been trying to call my reloc at Houston, but no answer or even message??? strange.

KH78 - I was able to talk to my RELO ADVISOR last week.
Question for you guys - at what point should I initiate my shipping? I've decided to take the Cash in Lieu but wondering when I should call the shipping company in. Can any of you Canadians recommend a good company for me to call?

Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is OFFICIAL. My BI has been finally cleared, visas recieved, final approval letter has been issued, and travel date is set for OCt. 31, 2012..... Dhahran...here we come.

My family passports got stamped except for me. What a joke....can my family fly without me? I cant belive how the Saudi embassy handle stuff. Its a real test of PATIENCE. How long I have to wait no one knows....

Seriously man... How could this even happen. As far as I know your family's visa depends on your visa since you're the main applicant.... Was it refused or still under process?

Lots of good news materializing yesterday. I also received a call from my recruiter yesterday afternoon. I have a new job le under which my visa will be evaluated. Let's hope it works this time! Hopefully I will know where we stand in a couple of weeks unless the Eid holiday interjects.
Meanwhile, congrats to KH78! Don't be having that BBQ before a few of the rest of your Forum buddies show up in DHA!!
