Does anyone know if it would be worthwile to ship a golf cart that I currently own to RT or would it be better to sell it and buy another once I get there?
Has anyone done this and knows approximately how much it would cost to ship?

You may run into problem with customs since golf carts are now available in Kingdom. About 2 years ago when we arrive there was a group of people that went together to ship over several carts together and they were held up in customs for ever-eventually they released them but that was the last time I had heard about people shipping in carts. Just be aware a new cart will cost around 8-10 thousand US dollars (according to a friend that just purchased a battery operated one) in KSA.

Its a tough situation either way,
I too have heard horror stories with customs, both for golf carts and for cars. Ive been told there are some 3rd parties you can go through who can streamline the process, but I dont know who they are.
As was said, buying a new golf cart here is pricey. We bought a 2009 last year for about $5,000 through AlGosaibi.
They are nice for getting around camp, especially if you have the faster gear.

Thanks for the info. I thought since I owned my cart out right that this may have been an easier to import it. This does not appear to be the case, so I will sell it.
