Employee: $55; employee plus one dependent: $110; employee plus two or more dependents: $165. These are monthly premiums for covee when you are OOK only. IK is 100% paid by Aramco.

Could any Canadain Expats confirm if out of country medical covee is free for Canadian? If not, what is the monthly premium per adult/ per child? Will this insurance covers the out of country birth of child? Thanks for all the replies in advance.

Not Canadian, but can tell you there is a premium for OOK insurance.
There are Canadians on the forum, but with the Internet problems Aramco is having they may not be using the time they do have Internet to get on the forum. Sorry for this inconvenience. Hopefully, all will be working well again soon. I know a few friends whose Internet is back up and working well. Others are still waiting.

Hi Everyone,
First of all, thanks to the moderators and admins for setting up and maintaining this site. It's invaluable in trying to make a decision whether to accept an offer Re. this thread, I was wondering if any Canadians can clarify the situation vis-a-vis OOK medical insurance. Per the offer letter we received, we would have to give up our Canadian Health Insurance to maintain Non-resident status so I guess we wouldn't be covered for travels out of the Kingdom. Reading this thread however, it appears there is some confusion as to whether Aramco provides Health covee for Canadians or whether one is left to purchase on their own. Our HR advisor in Houston seemed to think that there was no covee provided and the offer worksheet used a Cash In Lieu for benefits ? Any help would be much appreciated.

It appears that it has been some time since this topic was discussed so I am opening it back up as I have a question. I will be coming over in bachelor status and my wife will remain in the USA without covee other than what I provide. The housing status options paperwork say, "Medical Services are available at no cost, in Kingdom, for Candidate only, per current policy." The postings on this topic discuss something called OOK and some Aetna options at around $165/month and something else called BUPA. I am not sure if these are one in the same or not.
The real question is, does anyone know if Aramco offers or facilitates medical covee for family members that remain stateside? I am aware that "Traveler's Insurance" for my infrequent trips out of KSA would be on me.
I have not got my offer package yet, but it is in route. Any advanced assistance would be appreciated as I don't yet want to poke my recruiter again.

If its still the same when we came in 2000, the insurance at the time was United Healthcare and yes it covered those who stayed back in the states, because they were dependents.
Will have to verify that today.
Also the Aetna we have now is a global insurance.

VP, Thanks for the information. Momma was a little worried that she would be on our own again. The last expat experience I had was that way, and even something less than a catastrophic medical event was financially devastating.
As always, I am sure you will post what you can find out. All of us appreciate the moderators much more than you know.

I recommend you ask for clarification from your recruiter regarding insurance covee for your family. Anything I tell you would be unofficial, even if I'm told by HR.

VP,
Understood. I just received my email offer package and it is spelled out (sort of) in there. $55-Employee, $110-Employee+one, $165-Employee+two or more. "Provides worldwide medical insurance covee (reimbursement of hospital, surgical, and out-of-hospital expenses) outside Saudi Arabia medical facilities." I am guessing that the FedEx package will have more information.
