First of all, Thanks so much to those who are taking from their time in helping and answering questions. This forum is very helpful.
My husband gets interviewed for a position with Aramco and he has been told that an offer will be prepared.
My husband does not want to spend time making any research about work and life conditions in Saudi before having an offer. From my side, I think its important to start collect some information which could help us to make a final decision if we have an offer. If we don’t, we are fine where we are.
I am from Canada and a mother of 4 boys (I wish I could have a daughter) and wondering if you can answer all or some of my following questions:
1-I am certified to work with children as a caregiver, and actually I am teaching kids aged from 3 to 5 years. If we get an offer and we get satisfied, I will resign from my job and join my husband in Saudi Arabia.
My question: Is there is a chance to get a job as a caregiver with Aramco
Also, Does Aramco consider the family income for the offer or only my husband’s salary.
2-What kind of activities will be available for a mom (such my case). Are the swimming pool and Gym open 24/24 for 7day/Week. If not, what is opening hours
3-My husband is exercising every day during lunchtime. The gym is just two blocks away from his work. With Aramco, any Gym located near to their offices.
4-I read in this forum, that ladies are allowed to drive inside the compound. Can, I use my Canadian licence and how could I find insurance company to cover liability if I am involved in accident (Hopefully not) inside the compounds
5-My husband believes that our move is a major decision, and he wants the whole family (Not only me and him) to be involved in making such a decision. Three of my kids and I vote for moving to Saudi, however the youngest one (Grade 4) is completely against. He is talking about missing his friends in Canada. He wants to know how big the house will be in Saudi Arabia. He wants to know how big the playground in Aramco schools.
So, I appreciate if you can help me. Where can I find some videos/photos of Aramco houses to show him. Any videos/photos of school playgrounds, Swimming pools, Gyms, beaches, any other activities for kids of his age…..etc
6- My eldest son will be in Grade 10- high school next year. If I am not wrong, Aramco schools are only for kids from kindergarten to grade 9. In this case my, kid has only two choices: British school in Dahran or international school in Bahrain and I believe accepting of new students is limited. Does Aramco register my 10-Grade kid before flying us to Saudia. We do not want to be there and could not register him in High School
7-We do not have any friends in Saudi Arabia and we would like to know about the social life there. Do people have time to socialize with eachother. Is it easy to makes friends.
Thank you once again.
