Hi All,
Greetings
I have received the following e-mail from an agent in Australia:
“Please be advised that the Saudi Embassy in Canberra will not issue a visa to an applicant if they have a currently valid visa for any other Gulf region country. Applicants must have their residency visas cancelled and provide the embassy with a copy of the cancelled visa in order to obtain a visa for Saudi Arabia.”
My question is how can I resign before I am issued with a valid Saudi visa. After all there are no guarantees from Saudi Aramco that I will be issued a visa. I also have to first cancel my visa of the Gulf country I am currently working and residing in. This seems to me to be a catch 22 situation.
Has anyone faced this? Please help.
Kind Regards,
The_New

Hey New: Need a bit of clarity here: - do you currently hold a valid GCC residence visa or just a visit visa? - if you are already based in GCC, then any particular reason you wish to use Saudi Embassy back in Canberra? - YES, to get residence visa - once you are IN the Kingdom - all other GCC residence visa should be cancelled.
Please note that initially you are given only a work 'entry' visa - which allows you to land in the kingdom and then Aramco applies for your residence visa.
I was in a similar situation and I simply requested Aramco to send my entry visa documents to GCC, and I had it processed in a week. After having the saudi entry sticker, I cancelled my GCC residence.
Hope this help, rgds MJKR

Hi maujkar,
Thanks for your reply, and please find below my answer to clarify the situation:
Need a bit of clarity here:
- do you currently hold a valid GCC residence visa or just a visit visa? Yes, I do have a GCC Resident Permit
- if you are already based in GCC, then any particular reason you wish to use Saudi Embassy back in Canberra?
I hold an Australian passport and the Saudi Embassy in that GCC country recommended using my home country for the whole process.
- YES, to get residence visa - once you are IN the Kingdom - all other GCC residence visa should be cancelled.
Thanks for the clarification; my understanding is the same, but not sure why the agent sent that e-mail.
Please note that initially you are given only a work 'entry' visa - which allows you to land in the kingdom and then Aramco applies for your residence visa.
I hope this is the case.
I was in a similar situation and I simply requested Aramco to send my entry visa documents to GCC, and I had it processed in a week. After having the saudi entry sticker, I cancelled my GCC residence.
They (Saudi Embassy in the GCC Country) refused to do so; hence I had to travel to Australia, to do the medical and the rest of the process.
Hope this help,
Sure does, thank you so much Rgds
Kind Regards,

Hey New Quite weird for your GCC Saudi embassy to refuse your case (?). Perhaps a political reason.... any how, if you have no medical problems then there is nothing to worry about - the visa process will go smoothly. However, again, you don't need to cancel your initial GCC residence to obtain the Saudi Entry work visa from Australia. Once you get that - you can proceed to cancel the GCC residence. So try to get more clarification from Canberra. Looks like you can only get information through the registered agents : portal.mofa.gov.sa/media/42537_Enjaz.pdf Good Luck, MJKR

this is kind of wierd!
Houston insists that you DO NOT resign from your job until you get the initial visa for landing - visiting purpose i.e. first you get the visa to land and then you resign from your job. We were sent scanned copies of our visa, on the basis of which I resigned from my previous job in GCC.
Better check with Aramco HR coordinator who is dealing your case

Hi rookie,
Thanks for your help
Yes, this is should be the case and when I talked to my relocation advisor she mentioned exactly the same.
Aramco and the relocation advisor are handling this issue now and I expect to hear from them soon.
Once again thanks you so much.
Kind Regards,

This is something new. It is accurate. You do have to cancel visas from another GCC country before Saudi Consulate will issue visa.

o:
I'm from Southeast Asian country. I had my interview three (3 ) weeks ago with SAUDI ARAMCO-AL-FALAK ELECTRONICS AND EQUIPMENTS SUPPLIES COMPANY. Luckily, I made it. I'm now done with my medical. A SAUDI ARAMCO representative interviewed me here back home.
1. Do you have any idea what is AL-FALAK? Is that under the SAUDI ARAMCO company? 2. I'm I directly hired by SAUDI ARAMCO? If not, what are the benefits that i might enjoy? During my interview, a representative from AL-FALAK do the negotiation regarding their salary offer with me. But the piece of paper I signed signifying that I have accepted their offer states SAUDI ARAMCO in the header. 3. How good working with SAUDI ARAMCO? 4. How long is the processing period before starting working with SAUDI ARAMCO.
I hope to receive enlightenment to you guys.
Thank you.
