Offer received by email 6/17/2013. My process took over a year. Now to contemplate whether to counter. It look like they have us in family housing in Daharan. I also think that is where I will be working.

Congrats, your timeline is not unlike others. You can expect more waiting especially with Ramadan and Eid coming up. Your offer should outline both where you will be living and where you will be working. As you review other posts regarding counter-offers, you should be ready to state facts and figures of why their offer is not enough. Also consider the ENTIRE compensation package, not just salary.

You can do a search on the forum for "timeline" and you can read many new hires' posted timelines for the hiring process. Let's you know your timeline is normal.

Offer accepted. Aramco said that next week we will be given a relocation adviser. I didnt see any pension paperwork in my offer packet and they said that the pension is still offered and that they are in the process of up......... the paperwork.

Orientation: We just came back from the orientation. It seems that accepting the offer was the right choice for us. It also seems like the DHA compound is full and they are sending some families to the Jadawel compound. At the orientation you will meet your recruiter and have a continental breakfast and they treat you to lunch at the Aramco cafeteria (which is very nice). They had an ex aramco employee give a talk on their experience. Around the lunch they split off the Americans and Canadians and spoke to the differences between the benefits.
Medical: Beware, that you will be asked for various samples (including stool, ugh) to submit to Aramco. They also give a TB test.

I had SAMSO ask me to go back to a Dr. for a knee surgery that was caused from playing soccer. The Dr gave a 100% bill of health, so that took a few weeks to clear the final SAMSO schedule.
