Hi, I am a theatre nurse in Australia with 10 years experience. I have recently applied for a Sn Staff Nurse position in the operating theatre and have been successful in getting an interview. The interview is coming up next week and I am very excited and nervous. I was wondering if there are any nurses out there that could shed some light onto questions that were asked at their interview or provide me with any tips? The interview will be via video link, so I really need to make a good impression, hard to do when it's not in person.
One other thing, I am getting married in October, from what I have been reading, timelines can vary greatly, do you think they would be flexible to me coming after my wedding or will I still be waiting by then?
Any information anyone can give me to help settle my nerves would be wonderful. Thanks

Your time line could take you to or close to October, but it could also go quickly. If its close to October you can probably negotiate your departure date. If its quickly, not sure they'll wait that long.
Also, know your husband would only get to come for short visits. You would not be given family status as a woman.

Thank you vpainter, hopefully they are planning ahead for a replacement at the end of the year. We did anticipate that I would be single status, not a wonderful way to start a marriage, but he is very patient with my nomadic ways.

o All not long found this forum as we are considering a move to KSA. But I have a horrible feeling that I have just seen the flaw in our plan. I am the qualified nurse (Female) so would I not be able to relocate with my family, husband and 2 children? Gutted!

Female employees are not given family status.
