o all, I have been informed that I will be receiving an Aramco offer soon. However, I'm in the very lucky (or actually unlucky ) situation of having received another offer for employment with an excellent University also in Saudi Arabia, for a similar role. I'm afraid to turn down either one, since both are conditional on a background and medical check, etc, and I'm afraid that I would end up losing on both. So I guess my question is how likely is it that an Aramco offer gets withdrawn during the process? Has anyone been in a similar situation and how have you dealt with it? Thanks!

Yes, there are those who get their offers withdrawn for different reasons: medical, BI, and one I know of the department decided not to hire and other departments have put a freeze on hiring.
No one can tell you whether or not your going through the hiring process would end in a withdrawal of the offer. Can it happen, yes. Does it happen often, no, statistically more go through the process without a problem other than the length of time the process takes.
I'm definitely biased, I'd say working for Aramco would be better than working any where else in the kingdom.
