Now that you mention it I do not recall that it was in the offer letter.
As I recall it was referenced in the relo guide that they give you after the offer is accepted.
I do not recall anything called a moving allowance but we selected the shipment rather than the "cash in lieu" and I am wondering if that is what you are referring to?

This is what my understanding is that either you select the shipment or "cash in lieu" payment. But as you mentioned in your previous reply that you were also given a moving allowance ( one month salary) or settling in allowance. So I just wanted to clarify that if moving allowance is different from a shipment option? If yes then should we talk to our relocation advisor about this? I hope I did not confuse you more.

I recall that the settling in allowance is standard and is different from the shipment aka "cash in lieu". Do you to check with the relo advisor as the packages have changed over the last couple of years.

Hi CACA,
The settling in allowance is not listed in your job offer. When you accept the job you will receive a package that contains all your forms. In this package it will explain that you will be receiving a settling in allowance on your first pay to help defray some of your costs of setting up your home. This is not related to the moving allowance and is an incremental benefit. I hope this provides some clarification to your question.

There is some confusion with regards to the roll-over for 2012 (rolling over 15 days into 2013). After several heated discussion in our department, it was determined that the 15 days roll-over for expats stays intact. The roll over issues were for the locals whoa were allowed previously to keep rolling over their annual leave (in some cases up to 90 days).
