Does anyone know if a request for pay stubs is a good indicator of an offer in process? I was interviewed on Feb 1 (I thought it went quite well) and received a request for pay stubs 2 weeks later. I have heard nothing since. An email to my recruiter 2 weeks ago never received a response. Today I noticed that the specific job that I had applied for had been removed from the web site. As you might imagine, my mind is racing with all sorts of scenarios.
I can't imagine why they would want pay stubs if nothing were in the works, but I don't know what to think anymore. This is quite the roller coaster....Any insight?

Request for pay stubs implies that at a minimum they are shopping you aka you passed the interview and are under consideration.
With that in mind, I didnt hear anything for 3-4 months after submitting pay stubs LOL. Relax and wait and see.

The hiring process is a long and slow process. One thing you will read on these boards time and time again is 'patience'. Those of us from the US are used to things moving fast... This isnt the US lol.
For me I started the process in Jan 2012, I didnt arrive in KSA until July 29 2012.
That being said, it has been well worth it. While I miss the US, this job has allowed me both the time off to spend with my family and the financial freedom not to stress about how Im going to pay for it.
Good luck,
And did I mention its a SLOW process? lol.

Thanks for the responses. I suppose that I will continue to try to be patient. It’s hard to relax when such a potentially life-changing process is still up in the air. I certainly hope that I will be told one way or the other, so my hopes just don’t have to slowly fade away.
In the meantime, more days of being slightly anxious each time I open my email and continuing my new habit checking this forum in a borderline compulsive manner. Patient...right?
