o all. I just received my offer in the mail and the "goal" is for me to be in the country is May. My question is for anyone who currently resides in Abqaiq. I am a 30yr single female moving to Abqaiq to work as a nurse. What is the community like for singles? What is the hospital like? The posts I have read are regarding singles in other areas like Ras Tanura or Dhahran. Is this more of a family community or a good mix of the 2? I know the "big" hospital is in Dhahran so I was wondering what Abqaiq's was like. I had such an information overload during my orientation and interview that I don't remember any specifics about this community. Any information would be helpful and greatly appreciated. Looking forward to my new adventure.
Sincerely, Very excited but very anxious

Although never living there I know chaps who did and it is very quiet, but good accommodation. Having said that there are free buses out to the towns and the other camps. And of course you might be transferred to Dhahran after a few months / years. Known that to happen. Think positive and you'll be ok.

Gina, I received a call yesterday that I am going to receive an offer for an RN position in Abqaiq. I'm single as well, but a little older. I'd love to hear what life is like in Abqaiq.

You might try PMing or emailing these users who live in ABQ:

Abqaiq is more family orientated. The streets get rolled up after sunset... if you are into bowling and quilting you should be ok.

Hopefully 'Welcome' to both of you,
I am a medic working in RT, but I know a few medics in Abq. If you want, I can try to put you in touch with one of them.

GinaRN, once you have posted a few times and your posts have been approved, you will be able to PM at that time. You will click on a users name and there you can click on the link to PM or email a user.
