o All, I have been working in an MNC in KSA for last 6 years stationed at Al-Khobar and now i(Along with my wife and two kids, elder 2y+ younger 3m) wud b joining Aramco with camping in UDH, have been to udhailiyah couple of times, only on business ofcourse, heard all good things abt this oasis except that you tend to feel lonely if you are coming from metro like khobar...i wud like to know if there are any indian families preferably from Hyderabad...if not Rest of India will do .... One more thing i wanted to ask was how do you arrive to UDH from DMM Airport, is it by car or by Aramco flight to UDH? RSVP

Somebody help me here please, also the EED wants me to give them consent of my current employer and also in writing that my company would release me from their sponsorship. Dont you think this is way too quick specially since i dont have any offer in hand from Aramco, i just passed the interview.
I fear that if i ask my employer they may deem this as resignation, and if negotiations with Aramco fail, i would be in deep trouble with no job at hand...
Please i need advise....Thanks

You have to look at Aramco's point of view. If you already work in KSA, to change employers you must have a letter of release from your current employer. If they will not give you one, then no other company can hire you. Something new is if the company you work for is rated red, then I believe you can change jobs without getting that letter.
Aramco wants to know that they are allowed to talk with you, rather than do all the talk and find out your employer won't let you go.

everyone who is hired by Aramco goes through a background investigation and a medical review and must be approved.

I suggest you read the Timeline - Houston ASC Interviews Feb 2012 discussion group under New Hires. Many people have listed their timelines for others to see and will give you an idea of lengths of time.
