Greetings from not so sunny London!
I haven't seen a huge amount of input from secretaries on this forum but thought id throw this out there anyway.
Following on from attending two secretarial open days in London, one in May/June, one in October, I'm pleased to say I have been invited for an interview at the end of this month. As far as I can work out they appear to be recruiting en masse. I'll be attending a half day information session which also includes a one to one interview (I believe with a real human rather than by video conference) and a typing test.
Just wondering if anyone else has attended such a day and if so your thoughts please? Also how harrowing is the interview? Are we talking an hour of horrendous public sector style "competency" based questions, or a more traditional interview?
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Hi when is your interview? I have mine on the 28th and would also be interested in what's required.

It was nice to meet you at the interview. Although we didn't get much response on the forum prior to our interview, the day went well. Now the wait to see who's been successful and on to the next stage.

Hi! I attended an interview in London also and have received a phone call to say I have been successful, I am now waiting for my offer letter. I'm so excited but until I see it in writing I dont think it's going to quite sink in! Hope you hear good news soon, it will be great to meet other sec's in the same boat

Hi K K, sorry I've been having loads of trouble using this forum - I'm trying for the third time to post a reply to this question, hopefully it will appear...!
In answer to your question - yes I've had news and it's of the good variety. I gave all my acceptance/background forms in last week so now I'm just waiting to hear what the next step is - assuming I pass the scrutiny of the powers that be. Have you been accepted too? Would be useful to email if you have been. I can't private message you for reasons unknown, but please feel free to contact me (I've PM'd you my email).

Hope to hear back from you both!

Good afternoon everyone,
I am due to go down to London for an interview in April. I wondered if I could email you guys some questions I have?
I am very excited by this opportunity but would like to speak to some secretaries/administrators direct, before I do the 8 hour round trip on the coach (cant afford the train at short notice).
Thank you very much Susanna
