Would someone be kind enough to list some activities for the kids? Also, my wife is interested if there are programs or activities for muslim kids (ages 8 thru 12) at a mosque nearby? Thanks.

I know Ras Tanura and Dhahran both have mosques but I do not know if they have activities for kids.
I can tell you there there are a ton of other activities for kids however. Both camps are full of parks, playgrounds, athletic teams, game rooms, libraries, swimming pools, etc.
Hopefully another poster will have insight as to Islamic activities.

Hi desi787 The response to this depends on whether you are in Kingdom yet or not. If you are in Kingdom your best bet is to contact the CCC (Customer Care Centre) on your camp they will have fliers for the children's activities available, you can also contact Recreation for details of Aramco organised activities (eg swimming classes and tennis coaching). If you are not yet in Kingdom the answer will depend on which camp you are coming to and what expertise people resident in that camp have and are willing to share! From Dhahran examples include: Soccer Tag football Little League Tennis Swimming club Art club Dance Some music tuition (this is hard to find) Girl Scouts Boy Scouts It should be noted that many of these activites are oversubscribed, you need to get your name in EARLY in the year or AS SOON as you get on camp. Ask around at school for the activities you want. I think all camps have a 'Monthly Community Events' publication which sometimes advertise children's activities, get hold of it AS SOON AS IT'S PUBLISHED and get your name down for what you are interested in. Best of luck

Thanks for list. We're not in the kingdom yet, but just researching it for the wife and weighing the pro's and cons. How about piano or band? Kids are taking lessons here and would like them to continue.

There's a a lot of Piano teachers that provides lessons so you should be good with that. As for Islamic activities, there are some usually held on Friday morning that your kids can join.
