I purchased most of the supplies, but I have a question regarding the notebooks and the filler paper. Is it just the wide ruled, or do they need the math type as well? Also, I am assuming that the lined notebook paper and the loose leaf paper are the same thing, right? Sorry, it's my first time purchasing supplies, I always just order these through the PTA.

o. We are moving to Ras Tanura in about a month. Unfortunately, my son will miss the beginning of school. Can anyone provide me with a school supply list for Kindergarten for 2012-2013 school year? Is there anyone I need to contact at the school to make sure he is enrolled? How many days after getting in Saudi should I expect him to be able to start school? I'm sure there will be jetlag to get over as well as some immediate settling in to do. Please advise.
In addition, I have a 3 1/2 year old little girl and would like her in preschool. Can anyone suggest a place and tell me how one goes about enrolling in preschool there?
Thanks in Advance,
Scarlett

Thanks for posting the school list for 2011-2012. My son will be starting kindergarten after our arrival in Ras Tanura September 2012 and was wondering if there was a list of supplies needed for the 2012-2013 school year for him? What do I need to do to enroll my son in school?
Does anyone know contacts for preschools for my 3 1/2 year old daughter?
Thanks,
SGrace

SGrace The supply list for 2012-2013 school year is the same that was listed for 2011-2012 and it looks like for Kindergarten the teachers buy the supplies and parents pay a fee to cover the cost. If you filled out the paperwork in the initial packet that you have a child attending school then the school should be aware of your arrival. Once you arrive here, you go to the school and let them know you are here and the office staff will help you get him enrolled. Should be relatively quick (I'm not sure exactly as when we arrived with our kids the school was on spring break so they started a week later when school was back in session). We brought previous school records along with shot records for the enrollment of our kids. Don't worry if they are missing any immunizations the RT clinic will provide. They give you the normal enrollment forms to fill out when you go to the school office. As far as Pre-School there are a couple of pre-schools run out of the homes of a couple of women here on camp. I don't have info as I have older kids but the Mom & Tots group would be a good resource for that info. The Community Resource Center has contact info for Mom & Tots. Welcome to RasTanura! Feel free to email me if you have any other questions. bolishmom@gmail.com

Thanks so much for responding. I'm sorry I haven't said thank you earlier. I have not been on this site for some time. So, thanks!
Any advice on car seats? I have a 3 1/2 & 5 1/2 year old. Maybe car seats will not give them enough comfortable room for such a long flight, but I'm worried about my car seats being lost and not having them when we arrive for the drive to camp. Thoughts would be most welcome. We willbe on Lufthansa through Frankfurt.

o all, I read that someone called the school to ask something... May I ask for the school number, please. My daughter is in KG here in Canada, and according to Aramco age policy she wouldn't be in KG at Aramco... I just want to ask if she can stay in KG upon joining...which might be sometime in late nov.
Appreciate your help
