My husband and I are living in Jeddah - working as teachers in one of the international schools in the city. We are trying to bring out two golden retrievers to us in December (when our university aged children come for a visit).
We would be really grateful if anyone has any advice on who to ask to help obtain an import license.
Secondly we've been advised that the paperwork on the Canadian side (health certificate, letter of good health, translation and certification) could take 2 weeks to process - Does anyone know if there is a time limit on how old this paperwork can be by the time the dogs arrive in Jeddah?

Just posting an update on small dogs. It is still a major problem trying to import them into the Kingdom. My guidelines for pets from the USA to KSAis still available free of charge. Just e-mail me at petsandplanes@aol.com and Ill send it out to you. If anyone has had any success getting a small dog into the Kingdom in the past year I'd love to hear from you. By small, I mean under 35 lbs. I get enquiries from people with yorkies, chihuahuas, maltese almost every day and the last small dog I got in was a Shih Tzu in 2011. If you have recently had a permit appklication denied I wuld love to hear from you with details about the pet. This way I can better advise anyone who is wanting to travel with their pets. Please understand that the rules are made by the Government in KSA, it has NOTHING to do with the airlines and other governments. Thank you so much Jane BKS International Pet Shipping, Inc. petsandplanes@aol.com
