Blood tests are done for the employee and spouse (in Houston). That said, If you search the forum, there have been instances where folks with diabetes have cleared the medical. Honestly, no one can say for sure what could be a potential hurdle. Best of luck.

I cleared the BI and the medical, and then ASC submitted visa application and visas were obtained.

I have had a request from the Samso doctor for clarification on some past medical conditions. Trapped nerve I had in my neck that lasted a few weeks.....15 years ago. A kidney infection that was treated with a course of antibiotics 5 years a go and a racing heartbeat that occurred 3 years ago, all the above have cleared up and pose no problems, but because I was diligent in listing these on my medical form, the Samos doctor has requested and orthopaedic report on my trapped nerve, and a GP or specialist report on the other two items.
I'm not too sure how particular samso doctors are, but I'm worried I might get rejected for insignificant problems that occurred years ago, that were either treated with rest, antibiotics or ibuprofen.
Anyway, what will be.....will be!
Good luck to you all.

I have received no letters myself, for either the BI or medical clearance. The Reloc advisor just told me I had cleared, and that she would submit for the visas, which she did and they were issued.

Hi,
I indicated on my pre placement health questionnaire that I had previous history of seasonal asthma and 2 other minor surgery's - most recent was a day surgery and I was not hospitalized.
Today I received a request for additional information: an up to date pulmonology report regarding my asthma and a general surgery report for my most recent day surgery.
Has anyone been rejected for having a history of asthma? I know no one can give specifics and decisions to accept and reject candidate's medical screening may not be predicted, but should I be concerned? from what I've been reading from other posts on this forum, I am getting a bit anxious.
Any words of wisdom are appreciated.
Thanks,
