Hi my husband accepted a position and we will be living in the Dhahran compound. We are a family of 4. He is a GC 12 and was assigned 3 bedroom unfurnished housing. Does anyone have an idea of housing choices, floor planes, sq ft, is there a patio, etc. thank you,

Anyone know what the standard housing is for GC-12 with 2 kids and is any of this in Dhahran Hills or only on main camp?
Thanks much

Yes there is a patio and small backyard. Your housing assignment could be in the Hills or Main Camp.

Hi,
the answer I need may be somewhere on this Forum ... pardon me, but I'm struggling with understanding the different housing description codes. I've noticed: 3TG3S 3TS3S 3TR3S
Please, can these be broken down? Thanks.
My family will be living at the Ras Tanura Camp. Do these housing codes apply there too?

Yes, the housing codes can apply to RT also.
All three of those are 3 BR townhouse floorplans. Do not know why they are called by those codes. Each layout is slightly different, all are about the same size.
Were you given one of those codes?

All the letters and numbers in a house code have a specified meaning. We can't access the company network from home any more so I can't look them up for you but as far as I recall, the two numbers represent the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The letter in the second position is the house style and 'T' means 'townhouse'.
I think the letter after the T indicates the sub-type of townhouse and if I recall correctly, the final 'S' means the house has a study.
I'll try to look the codes up when I get the chance and confirm what they mean.

The 3TG3S has the study downstairs and upstairs there is three bedrooms, one of them being significantly larger than the other two. This style of townhome has a flat roof rather than the red tiled roof.
The other two floor plans are basically the same, but very slight differences in dimensions and layout. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms which are similar in size, and one small bedroom/study.

o,
Can anyone provide details regarding 2 bedroom housing accomodation in Dhahran. 1) Do they have a study? 2) How big is the place as far as square footage? 3) Any backyard or front yard? 4) Can it accomodate any future guests? 5) Does it have two floors or one floor?
I understand that there maybe some variations in the housing for even two bedrooms, but just wanted to get a rough estimate.
Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a wide range of housing styles in Aramco. They vary in size as do the yards (which could be front, back or both). Some are on one floor, some two, some have studies, some don't. You could probably find 2-bedroom houses with combinations of all the features you mention.

The 2 Bedroom homes with a flat roof are 1400-1500 square feet. The one I lived in was 1 level and had a lot of wasted space which I didn't like. The two level homes don't have that problem.
I am not sure how big the 2 bedroom homes are with the red tile roofs, but they seem to have more space downstairs and smaller bedrooms.

Have received job offer for GC11 (1 children) with accommodation in Abqaiq in Senior Housing Community. Can anyone give us further info what are the type of housing and facilities that are available, esp for the children (2 yrs old). Secondly, how reliable is the bus service for commuting (and otherwise) to and from Dharhan?
