Hi lovely expats :-)
I was recently approached by a recruiter about a Personal Assistant position. Although I was initially hesitant to apply, especially as a single parent, the recruiter was very enthusiastic and highlighted the benefits of Aramco school, among other things.
However, after reading various forums, I understand that it's nearly impossible for a female employee to obtain family status and bring their child. Is there anyone here in a similar situation? Are there any single parents working at Aramco?

I have recently been hired as a female employee on family status so it does happen. I do not know if you have to be married, but our marriage certificate was required for our child's visa application. You have to be a certain job grade to be eligible for family status. I'm not sure if PA would be high enough. Others may know more.

As Lassie says, there are a fair few women on family status now. But, in order to get family status you need to be gc 11+ and I do not know of any single parents because it’s always tied to the spouse being in kingdom.
I’d also add, aramco school starts later and finishes earlier than work hours, there is no wraparound care, very little in the way of holiday care and the kids come home for lunch every single day. Once they are 14 they have to go off camp for school and we do have to contribute to it, it’s not cheap.
