Hi all,
I am hoping someone can give me a bit of clarification or probably hope.
I have been recently (Feb) been interviewed for a position with the IK LTC department in person.
I was told I am successful and submitted all required documentations. I was contacted by Credence and the background investigation was kicked off.
When I did not receive an offer, I contacted my recruiter who then informed me that he has been told that there is manpower requirement revision taking place and my position is one of the positions affected. He said he will attempt to get confirmation but apparently nothing is moving further until further notice.
Is this what people have been referring to as "back candidate" case or this situation is different?
Did someone have a similar situation and eventually resulted in a job offer?
What are the chances that I will in the near future (few months) receive an offer?
It is also worth mentioning that the same positions under the same department are active in the career page and open for candidates to apply to. I hope someone can shed some light

Your case is exactly the same as mine. Until now I still haven't got that Offer Letter. Just hope for the best to come.

Hi Mazmooz and moon,
1. Yes, I have heard and know someone personally who was a backup candidate and eventually landed in KSA. I think the processes/approvals take time and anything can happen.
2. I am more or less in the same situation. Interviewed at the end of December 2023, then in January, the status changed to "Thank you for your efforts so far. Your recruiter will connect to you when we can continue the proce'. Then it was complete silence until April when I was informed that they would be moving forward with my application but I am a backup application (waiting for requisition approval) and was asked to fill out the employment form. Later at the end of April I was asked to fill out some forms and background check applications on the silkRoad portal. I have been contacted by a recruitment and relocation agent but I still haven't received any job offer yet. I am told to wait now.
I have not been asked for pay slips nor has anyone contacted me for a Credence and the background investigation.
So I am just waiting patiently and focusing on my current job.

Hi moon, Were you also interviewed for the IK LTC department? also, were you also told that there is a manpower revision and your position was affected? At this point in time, I do no think this will turn into a job offer as in simple words, the jobs were just cancelled. However, what is confusing to me is that same positions are still available on the American career page. |

Well, I believe the SkillRoad portal is only for North America candidates. Are you a US or Canada based applicant/ I am from Australia and the equivalent of SkillRoad portal is manual submission (through emails) of documents which I did. I literally completed all required documents including notary public and also Credence background investigation. When I asked my recruiter, he was told by the team in Saudi that my position was affected by manpower requisition revision.
