Hi members ,
I just got an offer for a job in ARAMCO with salary code of 13. I have some questions >
- Can someone explain what can i expect from that code ? salary, benefits.. etc. - The relocation advisor said that i will be living within the camp as we are a family of 4 (two kids). What the cost of living in such houses ? - What are the cost of living there ? - How much are the school fees there ? I saw that there is an elementary school for ARAMCO personal at the camp.
At the same time I have another job offer from ABu Dhabi , so I'm trying to decide which offer to accept . Any recommendation and advice is highly appreciated
Thanx

Hi, firstly congratulations.
In terms of salary and benefits, this will be outlined in great detail in your offer sheet. It will be hard for someone to give you an accurate estimation given that different departments pay different amounts.
You got shipping allowances for shipping stuff, but you dont actually have to ship anything you can just pocket the cash. You get a settling in allowance equal to one months base salary. There is an annual bonus scheme and you also get a repatriation allowance which can add up to alot if you are coming from canada or the US. again these allowances are given without the need to provide receipts.
In terms of living in camp, youll be assigned a 3 bedroom house. You will either be in the Hills or Main camp. Rent is roughly 400/500$ a month and is based on the square footage of your house. The rent is very good especially if you consider you arent paying for water, electricity or the camp services.
Cost of living depends entirely on yourself and your lifestyle. Some people cant live without their home comforts and food stuffs which are usually imported and significantly more expensive than local made or saudi brands. Some people buy two cars, some buy one. Some people furnish their houses to a high standard and make modifications others treat them like rentals and purchase 2nd hand furniture,

Hi Beeb, Thank you very much for your reply. How about schools and kindergartens ? are schools free ? Camp schools are free, with the exception of pre-k which is charged for. You will get a capped educational allowance which you can access before the needed age of 14 when camp schooling ends. It’s two to a room, so you will only get a 3 bed if you have girl/boy. Otherwise it’s 2 bed with study. Your home will be basically furnished on arrival, some choose to pay a small rent and keep that (free for the first few months). Fridge, dishwasher and beds are free.
