I think it might be, as they said, due to shortage. Camp
Is filling up, they are now putting people into unconverted houses due to not having enough 220 stock and whole streets are empty being converted.
But, as posted earlier in the year, people on eastern do frequently get a home on camp assigned after arrival. Many do choose to live off camp, you still have access to the facilities and can be best of both worlds.

One RA just told me that "Upon arrival also, you are eligible to bid inside the camp but no guarantee on when the house in camp is available and depends on the points you will earn." So I think I still have a chance. I will update this later. |

My guide says, you have to stay put for 2 years and then you can change according to the bid rules.
Edit - I am on global payroll

But my relocation guide file was dated in June 2023. The RA in the UK said I will only be eligible for RAA and another HR from Saudi said I will be eligible for bidding once I arrive. It's quite confusing. |

Hi Im in the same condition as you but was told for sure I will get on camp housing. That sentence is only in case there was no availability in the camp. I should be arriving end of march early April 2024, so I still have sometime before they confirm housing availability. When should you be arriving??

Hi all, I will arrive before the end of this year. I'm on GC14 eastern payroll. The accommodation in my offer said" EMPLOYEE will either be provided a Rental Assistance Allowance to obtain personal housing accommodations in the local communities or assigned COMPANY provided housing." But in the relocation guide they sent to me today, it's said "Due to our continued growth and expansion, the supply of Saudi Aramco company-provided housing has become very limited. As a result, we will provide you with a Rental Assistance Allowance in lieu of company-provided housing. (Female single / bachelor 11+ and Salary Code 3-10 employees will be provided with company housing.)" I'm confused that some of my friends with same nationality and lower GC were assigned the houses inside the compound, why I'm not eligible? I asked the RA and no reply until now. Is that normal? Can I negotiate? Thanks for your help. Hi I'm also from eastern, and will departure on 24th this month, still not yet get the confirmation of housing, on-camp or off-camp, and no reply from RA as well. |
