Hi @everyone!
I hope everyone is okay here, especially for the Aramco Expats. Kindly share your experience here in Aramco for the newly hired upon arrival from the airport (Dammam) to the first day of Work.
I am excited to read all your comments / stories about your experience here in Saudi Aramco.
Cheers! Mr. Oizo

Really? That is an extremely broad question to ask. This is covered across multiple posts under multiple topics over the last 10 to 15 years on this forum. Read through past posts to get feel what it’s like here.

Starting end of December if all paperwork and background checks are in order. Coming without family so I'll be looking for people to meet and share experiences with.

You really need to push out all the stops to arrive before Dec 31st - everyone if it is Family status. If you arrive later then you will miss out on repat payments for next year.

Not all repat payments, just the delta between bachelor status amount and family amount. It's not a HUGE deal, but agree it's something to consider

What do repat payments mean?

This is the payment given each year for "repat leave" taken on family status. For me it equates for just under an extra month's pay, the amount depends on number of children and your home location. You wont get this for 2024 if you start in Jan as it is based on having full calendar year of service.

Correct me if I am wrong, is that the 'Annual Benefits Supplement'?

One practical tip: when you arrive at Dammam airport you, at the passport control they will take your photo, which will further be used for you Iqama and driving license. So, if you take this things seriously, you may want to get in a good shape, before passport control.)
