Hi There, looking for advice, as RA is not helpful.
1. Any ideas if I will be able to relocate kids while husband is still applying for jobs in KSA? - full time live-in/ live out nanny? - bringing grandparent (from another country, not country of origin)? Are any of those scenarios possible with Aramco? Or the only option for him is to give up his current job and join me as dependant?
2. When hubby relocates, it would be most likely different KSA city and visiting us at the weekends. Any impact that will have on my Family status? Are full time nannies difficult to arrange while living in a compound?
3. Schools question also seems to be a vicious circle - one British school advised they make assessments in-person only - how do people manage getting a school place before relocating?
All in all looks like mission impossible! Thanks in advance for any thoughts,

Nannies are available, there are restrictions on sponsoring unless both parents work, bigger family but you can get through an agency. A lot of people have parents here on a visit visa, one that is a few years long. They have to exit and re enter every 90 days (day trip to Bahrain), health insurance for them can be tricky. 2. They track exit/entry out of the country, not the camp or region. So, you’d probably be okay. But there are tales of people who work and have their own iqama losing their benefits, repat etc but not the family home. 3. Some schools do in person, some do online, some go by previous reports. If they are under 14 they will be eligible for camp school. BSD just did online with us, but age might be a factor there.

Thank you Tamsin! This is very helpful. Would you know how they count 180 days - per calendar year, from relocation date or a year from any given date? Also, technically, would I be able to go back (after receipt of exit visa) and bring the kids into the country on my own? Or they have to be accompanied by the spouse?

People do go back for the family. I believe you need a letter of permission from the other parent to bring them, but it’s not always asked for.

They don’t have to be accompanied by your spouse. I have travelled alone internationally with my two kids on numerous occasions. The only time I had an issue was with some officious British official on entering the UK when I had to explain why we were in saudi etc.

This stuff is so hard to pin down.
