Hi all, just wanted to know how long it takes to obtain the Iqama for family members so they can join me in KSA once I get there and start the Iqama process for them.
Thanks!

Search on “family iqama” , “iqama timeline” or other variations. I’m sure you will find a wealth of information as this topic as it has been asked & discussed exhaustively on this forum but short answer is 4 to 6 weeks if you stay on top of things.

Thanks, JRS!
Does marriage certificate require any attestations for Saudi Iqamas for dependents? or RA look after marriage authentication for the RVA process? Just don't want to go and then waiting for attestation? You said "..to 6 weeks if you stay on top of things" What one need to consider or braining? Is it not RA looking after all this? Thanks!

Your RA will ask for your marriage cert and children’s birth certificates, they’ll get processed and then returned to you. Bring them with you to KSA.

The attestation process significantly varies from where you are traveling from. For many, once you get your Iqama, you need to send copy of it to your agent who can start attestation, translation etc in home country. Ones this is done, you need to book an appointment for yellow slip. Send original to agent. They book appointment for medical and visa. If you are an engineer, you have to get sce registration first. On safe side, consider 2 to 2.5 months for whole process for your family to travel.

Thank you all, spoke to my RA and advised ~2 months for the whole process. I'm coming from the UK.

Thanks for the info! I’ll be flying in this dec. 2 months without kids will be hard. Separately, May I know if they will fly the family in business class or economy?

You can bring your family on On arrival visa. They will have to fly back to UK once you get yellow slip. So the separation will be only 2 weeks max instead of 2 months+

Update on Iqama timeline for family. Since last month, there are some significant delay in few areas in getting Iqama for family members. New joinees have been waiting for 1 month+ after submitting all documents to get iqama for their families. This doesn't affect normal life in ksa but the only thing is, they won't be able to leave country
