My husband has interviewed in August and when he followed up with the recruiter as he got another offer in hand, the recruiter requested him to submit all of the pre placement forms and required document including background screening form, health questionnaire form including mine, we even hired a lawyer to be the witness to sign and stamp as it is required for people who have studied and worked in North America.
As the deadline was approaching fast, we didn't ask the recruiter why all these personal information and document are required when he doesn't even have a verbal / written offer in hand.
My husband has sent follow up email to the recruiter which he confirm receipt after checking the forms. We are now waiting for the response, I hope the recruiter is not going to give us radio silence.
Did anyone experienced the same situation and know what does it mean?
We are now in a pause of family planning as we are not sure what will come next, I have searched online and saw background screening in Saudi / UK could take weeks to months...and their new policy is 1 placement has 3 back up candidates, with a recruiter not really providing us any updates and there is no concrete timeline, I am not sure how to move things along in our personal life and my own career planning.
If anyone has experienced the same, would you be very kind to share your experience and timeline so I know what we might expect?
Thank you very much!

The duration between the interview and an offer is about 2-4 months. In my case after the interview the recruiter got a hint that an offer was likely from the department and he requested me to start the pre offer verification process as it will speed up the arrival date. But he was very clear to me that it can all go to waste if offer does not come and there is no guarantees. Eventually the offer came in 3 months and I had a good head start in the process. Cheers.

I am so glad your recruiter was being responsible to let you know the situation and managed your expectation, I would be glad if we were communicated in such a way so at least we know what exactly is going on. Thank you so much for your reply and I wish you all the very best with your career in Aramco!

I’m not sure the 3 back up for every position is a thing. Not every position.
The hold up with U.K. background checks is the police one, not the credence one.
But, with the speed that this stuff is done, with the possibility of waiting for visas blocks and not knowing if an offer is even acceptable to you, I’d suggest you just carry on living, make your plans.

Thank you! We are actually in the process of waiting for visa for immigration which we will pause if Aramco’s offer is good. So we are really at a roadblock where we need some answers to determine where to stay in our current place, hopefully the recruiter can come back to us next week.

Bit of a lottery, could be weeks, could be months before the formal offer comes through. It’s all dependant on workflows and sign offs Saudi side.Best bet is to continue with your plans.

Thank you, he just checked his profile on website and it says "Not selected after interview" which the status literally updated few days after we submitted everything, going to send an email to request for confirmation from the recruiter as I assume they don't send out automated status update but we should get an email update even he is not selected after all the effort we have put in submitting the requested? Its just quite shattering...

Hi there have been instances in the past where people have received such messages in the SF but in reality their case was still under offer It happens sometimes when aramco HR creates a new job post to keep the posting alive in the system. It will be best to reach out to your recruiter to get accurate information

Thank you so much, I burst into tears reading your message, just being so touched by the community here. We had a lot of hopes and dreams, his recruiter has been OOO since she confirmed receipt of the requested document, I found the recruitment team lead on LinkedIn and hopefully we could hear something from the lead instead. Even it's bad news, we spent money (to hire the lawyer), time and effort just like everybody else and we just really want some confirmation. Thanks again for the glimpse of hope.

Hi Postie, thanks for sharing your experience. Have there been any recent updates? I find myself in a similar situation. Back in June, I was requested to complete KYC forms and submit all required documents, including a police clearance. However, I haven't received any updates since then, and my attempts to contact the recruiters have gone unanswered.
In the meantime, I have other opportunities, but I'm uncertain whether I should pursue them or wait for further updates from ARAMCO.
