o all,
About to move soon from Calgary, Canada to Dhahran. Have gone through the forum and read up about shipping options but couldn’t find any recent posts/experiences about shipping companies from Canada. Can people who shipped goods recently, preferably post COVID, share companies they have used and whether the experience was good/bad.
Thanks!

My suggestion is don't move anything big enough that requires a shipping company. Take as much luggage as needed for the flight, I had 12 items. Take the cash in lieu to get big items in kingdom.
I have friends that just retired the end of last year and moved to BC. I'll see who they used to move.

Yeah we’re in the process of doing our homework to see which option is feasible/less costly. While most items are small sized (clothes, kitchen stuff) that will fit in luggage, there are a few things that might not so want to explore that option.

You can fit larger items in a bicycle box provided you keep the weight at 23 kg. Bike stores give away the boxes or sell them for minimal cost $5-10.
Rubber maid 20 gallon action packer tubs are also worth investing in, gives your items a bit or protection and survives quite a trips back and forth. I suggest putting a strap over the lid to keep it on.
