Hi Everyone,I am planning to join Aramco Ras Tanura within 2 months.As accommodation is full in RT compound they will provide RAA. I know till I find accommodation they will provide me temporary accommodation. My question is I am planning to stay in Dammam and travel to RT everyday. Do we have Aramco bus travelling from Dammam to RT everyday. Can employees staying outside compound travel in Aramco bus.Please required assistance.

Hi Dear,
Yes, they informed me my accommodation will be outside RT compound once I get RP. That's why I am planning to stay in Dammam where lot of school is available. If we have daily bus from Dammam to RT it will be easy for travel.

I wouldn’t fancy that kind of commute but each to their own. There may be a bus or two a day but will lol be slow and not something you’d want to rely on for any period of time.
Id request immediate accommodation in RT to be honest as this seems like an unnecessary ball ache.

This is the reason I rejected their offer with GC 13 a couple weeks back. Travelling to RT from Dammam would be challenging. I know this area and how traffic goes, culture of driving etc. I think you would need to insist on accommodation at RT, postponing will get as a normal stuff later on |

Hi Dears, there is no issue to stay in Dammam as I have lot of friends over there. Main point is do we have Aramco bus everyday from Dammam to RT.

Hi,I was informed will pay RAA. If so it's better to stay in Dammam instead of RT. Only issue I face will be daily transport from Dammam to RT.

Hi,I was informed will pay RAA. If so it's better to stay in Dammam instead of RT. Only issue I face will be daily transport from Dammam to RT. The daily transport Dammam to RT is a pain. Probably 1 hour each way at peak times (currently there are major roadworks increasing journey time even more). There are Bus routes available - these you will get to know when you arrive but generally it would be Dammam to Terminus then Terminus to your work location. Presumably they will book you into transient housing on arrival - that should give you time to fix things out. Be sure that you have all of these fixed with your RAA before coming over. Also be sure you know what is happening with your kids school wise. Will they be allowed to attend Aramco school or will you be using outside school for example. Factor this into your final decision. |

I can second that having done that trip twice last week. It’s appalling and simply just dangerous, if I did that every day I’d need up needing therapy. I didn’t come here to put my life in danger on a daily basis!
