I asked the question during my onboardjng if my family can come visit and was told its best they stay at home whilst the visa process takes place. They would definitely have to leave to get here on their 90 days residential visa provided by aramco, and the point of entry is by flight, not by land border. I know the thought of leaving your family for an unprescribed amount of time is devastating, but if you have all your paperwork in place and are proactive in getting your own iqama then family visa, they'd be here with 8 weeks. I could have had my family here in 6 but needed to fly back home to travel to Saudi with my wife and kids Did Aramco allow you leave to travel home and help your family move out? I’m hoping I can do something similar.

o,
Quick question re spouse visiting prior to the issuance of the family visa process. What visa should they come and visit on if the new multi entry year e-visa potentially causes issues with the company visa?
Thank you

Thank you I was being informed by someone who moved last year to use evisa for family if they are visiting as tourist. They will have to go back to home country once you get your yellow slip and ready for visa processing.

I have a similar query, I am UK national and I am planning to bring my dependents on visit/tourist visa valid for 1 year with maximum stay 90 days. I than plan to send out my family to Bahrain to get the residence visa stamped once I get the yellow authorization slip. I have got 2 concerns based on various posts on the forum, a) Would the 1 year validity of visit/tourist visa impact the stamping of residence visa on the premise that the visit visa would still be valid. b) Does the residence visa stamping need to be in the country of nationality? I have seen few posts where people mentioned that they got visa stamped from Bahrain.

This should be ok, you need to tell Aramco so they can get her a pass to enter the community. Make sure they are aware before you arrive. The tourist visa lasts 90 days, she’ll have to leave then won’t be able to return within the year unless you get her a new family visa or do the iqama route. Thanks. My plan is to get her and child RP (Iqama) asap once we reach there. I hope they wont have to exit and enter again for Iqama. If needed, Bahrain looks promising option for a day out of country. Did the Bahrain option worked?

Based on the information I have, having visit visa on PP wont affect residency visa stamp. a colleague of mine recently processed his family visa from UK and they had tourist visa valid. My family will be visiting me shortly on same year long tourist visa. The residency visa needs to be process where you have right to live i.e. UK or if you have residence visa from any other country. I don't think you will be able to process medical and stamping in Bahrain. Also, sort out country name at the earliest as this is required at the time of dependent visa application as part of Yellow slip. The country cant be changed later.

The Bahrain runs are for people on a family visit visa, they last a year but you have to exit and re entry every 3 months to renew. Separate from iqama and 90 day tourist visa.
I think, like many countries, your first entrance on resident visa has to be by air.

And if you do this regularly where you exit to Bahrain and come back every 3 months, does it impact the next time you tend to get family visit visas?

They last a year but I do not know if they are renewable annually. A lot of people use them but I’m not sure where it would leave you with medical, driving, education etc. it’s usually people who cannot get family status on iqana.
