Talk to your RA - if they don't know then get them to talk to someone who does.

Talk to your RA - if they don't know then get them to talk to someone who does. Typically you pay then claim back via invoices/receipts etc. you may well be out of pocket for a while. Get this clarified!!

coyotep, Aramco have a system within the HR manual that describes the rental assistance allowance. This was available to all employees prior to 2016 or so and was either an non-invoiced sum of 3.5* base salary or an invoiced sum up to the value of the actual rent - whichever was the greater. This is one of the reasons compounds around Dhahran were so expensive. It was however changed to be only applicable where there was no Aramco housing available (eg. Riyadh, Jeddah). So based on the fact that your residence / workplace is Jeddah where no accomodation is available you should be eligible for 3.5* base salary or the actual rental paid, whichever is the greater. Beware tho that typical Saudi rentals are 6 months or even 1 year up front. Clarify with your RA that you are eligible for full rental assistance - it's possible that they do not fully understand the system.

If it is for one year, can it be affordable value to get a good compound?

Is the 3.5 x monthly base salary of RAA for one month or one year? If it is for one year, can it be affordable value to get a good compound? One year. Or the greater annual rent paid which covers those who are in places that have the rent artificially raised due to companies paying. It’s not an unreasonable budget.

My expirience on offer negotiation: recently received on offer on the global payroll. Initially got a base pretty much equal to my gross salary (even though my country income tax is quite low and i had a substantial annual bonus). After 2 iterations managed to raise the base on ~35%, which made my revised package equivalent to approx 2x my current net package. Hi, did your negotiation involve going back to Saudi HR for review? If it did, how long did it take to get the response back? I'm in a same situation and have been waiting for the last 3 weeks to hear back on my negotiation request. Every time I ask my recruiter for an update, she says that there's no response from the department. Is that normal? Thanks!

So I got a GC15 and was a good enough one to start with and I asked for 15% and was given about 5.7% which I was ok with and have accepted it...could've gone back and forth and maybe gotten more but had to take a decision for kids to join school and not delay...took just over a week so would say was quick but could've been longer if I insisted on 15% or more. However, since then I am been wondering what are the next steps...onboarding, medicals, background checks!!! Unsure as there is nothing been communicated apart from 'Thanks for accepting, the team will get back to you', this was earlier this week. Congrats! Are you on the Canadian Global Payroll?

Hi All, please how long does it take to get a revised offer. I git an initial written offer which I negotiated upwards and was informed by recruiter that it has been approved about 6 weeks ago. Since then, I'm yet to get the revised written offer. Is this a normal time frame? Thanks.

Aramco literally will pay only what they need to pay to entice you to join, based on you existing salary in your home country.
Unfortunately that means a huge difference in salary between a G7 nation where cost of living and salary is high vs the rest of the world.
Tough one if you are 8n the latter, but not a lot you can do about it.

I am from US payroll and I negotiated hard, even declined the offer, but they would not go above what they said their "final" offer was. From what I've read it really depends (also not everyone gets the Base + 40% +20% - this depends on your situation and total package including travel, etc.).

I don't think the base +60% rule applies to US payroll.
