Hi I am new here, really appreciate your help.
I had an interview recently with Saudi Aramco for the Geophysicist position and then I was asked to provide the latest three pay stubs. As a geophysical consultant working in Canada, I’m currently making about 40-50% less than I used to make few years ago. I just received the offer letter which offers the same pay as my current, but no bonus, no housing, no meals and transport allowance (my current company pays me accommodation/traveling). Any suggestion how should I negotiate? What’s the current rate for Geophysical Consultant (15 years +) working in Saudi Aramco? Thanks a lot.

Hi Normally what they do is match your current base pay +40% expat allowance +20% allowance The above becomes your monthly salary. In addition to this Annual bonus and Housing

Just tell them your offer isn't enough and can they do better. Either they will come back with another better offer or not.

Is providing paystubs required? What if you just give them a number and say I'll only consider taking the offer if base salary is X.

Thank you all. Yes, they asked me to provide the paystubs. I don't know what's current day rate for consultant over there, my current day rate is less than before here. I told them the offer isn't enough, We'll see.

Once you receive offer, you can always counter; at this point, they won't rescind, given time/effort to come to the offer.

I had discussion with him and he went back to Saudi and it took more than a month to receive revised offer as new approval process triggers in, if Saudi HR wants to revise. It's a big risk as at one point in time, I left hope of recieving revised offer. But patience worked at the end. Thank you so much for sharing, also I received an offer with GC12, should I only counter the pay or also a GC increase or would pay increase impact GC increase. Do you know what are the benefit between GC 12 or 13? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Not sure if the recruiters are advising you of the dependent and visa fees but it seems some of the new hires recently arriving were not completely aware of all the fees. The employee is responsible for dependent fees of 400 sar per month per dependent. Additionally, a multi-exit and re-entry visa are now 2,400 sar for a 12 month visa per person.
Dependent visa fees for wife and 2 children is approximately 14,400 sar per year, which must be prepaid prior to iqama renewal or issuance. One year multi exit and re-entry visas for a family of 4 will be another 9,600 sar.
I’d advise anyone to also consider all additional fees when evaluating the offer.

How did your negotiation go? Can you pm me the base salary range for GC 12 and what percentage uplift did they give you after you negotiated?
