Hi all, first time posting on this forum, but being scouring it since applying for an advertised SMP job for Aramco, about 5-6 months ago. Fast track to now and i have the offer of employment for the job in hand and have just sent off all the required documents for the B.I. However, i am married and have been offered a single status but was told by my in country agent not to worry as although it says single status, i can apply for a dependant visa for my wife once i arrive in KSA and receive my iqama. She also said to get this on email from the SRACO agent handling my mobilization process and as such, i did.
A couple back and forth emails between me and SRACO agent, getting lost in translation, and finally i have confirmation that they will assist me in providing the documentation or support letters needed, for me to file the application for her dependant visa, when i arrive. However, they did say that the approval of the visa is out of their control and it is up to the government, but if it is denied they will continue to assist with more documents/support letters for multiple attempts at this process.
Now an explicit question was asked of them which they could not, or are not at liberty to answer and maybe you fine people could assist. I asked if any of their (SRACO) employees have had issues or been denied a dependant visa for their spouse and if so, what the reasons were. I was hoping i could set myself and wife up for some realistic expectations should she be declined a visa.
Also, on another point, if she is declined a dependent visa, what are our other options? family visit visa maybe? or possibly getting her set up on a 3 month tourist visa in Bahrain and travelling to see her every week?
P.S. - I'm currently unemployed, with currently little prospect of getting this type of offer, ever, in my home country, so forgoing this offer is not an option. So just need contingency plans/ideas, should these visa applications not pan out as planned.
