I have just arrived a couple of days ago. I will be getting ready for my family. I intended to take a villa at daar but I have been told the company is going bust and there are problems on the compound Is this true?

Which company are you talking about? This forum is about Aramco and the company is definitely not going bust.

Daar is owned by the SAAD group and is part of oasis. A number of families were moved from Dharhan Towers to there and then moved to Rakah.
Best advice is to go and have a look around, I know there had been issues but not sure if they had been resolved.

Daar Residence is I owned by Saad, but is not part of the oasis compounds.
The following is based on our experience at Daar, but I believe it is no longer open, as it has a rather oppressive looking concrete wall around the entrance now.
Daar had many brand new facilities, but these never opened for business. The shop closed. Security and maintenance teams regularly went on strike. Garbage collection frequently didn't happen.
Daar will tell you that you can use all the oasis facilities, but this is untrue.
Without saying too much else, steer clear of Daar, and generally any other Saad owned company... Seriously. I don't believe Aramco are sending people there anymore anyway, but they don't tell you where you can and can't go with your RAA budget.
