Passport is sent off for Visa stamp, but I had a few questions that maybe some here can be so helpful to answer.
1. When working a field based rotation 7-3/7-4 do they fly you out the day before you are assigned to go to work or the day of? Just trying to see how much "off" time I would have to explore the area.
2. I assume field based is living in man camp style housing with central galley and gym to be shared by all?
Thanks for all the help, this place is great.

vpainter,
No worries at all, it seems most on this board are office based personnel so it will be rather hard for field based personnel to get an accurate description of day to day life.
I do appreciate everyones time and input though on all the threads and I have gotten a huge intake of knowledge to take with me to KSA.

If you are doing rotation in a remote location, think of it as the Ritz Carlton of man camps. If you are doing rotation on a rig, think of it as the Super 8 of man camps. No facilities except satellite TV. For this ogy, I am assuming a typical WT or ND man camp would be something on par with a Hampton Inn just to give you a point of reference.
If you are talking day shifts and not week shifts, flights are generally early morning day of and midday return on last day of shift.
