Hi,
I am scheduled to arrive in the last week of April on family status. I have a family of five and I am expecting to get a 3 bed apartment in Pearl. I need floor layout and would like to know the furniture detail which will be provided to new comers.
Thanks

Here is a you tube video of the Pearl compound previously. Aramco is renovating it. I have not been given any information on the compound at this time. Unfortunately pearl looks nothing like this now! It's an apartment block rather than flat compound style. Having said that the apartments currently ready, do seem nice, there are the odd photos floating around. We were initially told mid feb for a move, but now the first phase is happening end March, with I would say the last phase in sept/oct. It depends on where you are on the waiting list as to when you move, although I believe newcomers may go straight in if apartments are ready. At the moment only the penthouses are ready. There are no floor plans floating around for the apartments that I've seen anyway, but there is a site map I think. Furniture is provided, table and chairs, sofas, beds, to, bookcases, wardrobes etc. there's to be a solar heated pool, children's play area, cafe, shop, tennis courts etc, similar to radium. Much better natural light than radium though ☺️ Hope that helps a bit, sorry I can't be more specific. See you soon!

Pearl is still VERY much under construction and will be for a significant period of time. None of the amenities are ready but I've heard that some apartments are. Living in a new local compound can be very difficult due to the lack of amenities and transportation. Something to keep in mind. You need to be prepared to be 100% on your own to get around and get things you need. Be prepared to hire drivers/taxis or rent your own car in order to live sufficiently.

@ O&GEngg So then the first batch of people who were supposed to move in end of March are not in yet? Will they wait til it's all finished before they start moving people in? How long do you think it will be for Pearl to be completed?

To my knowledge no one has moved in yet. My understanding is that it will be completed in phases. The first phase of apartments is ready to move into but the rest of the compound will be under construction for a while. Housing did not give a timeline on when any of the amenities will be ready. Suffice to say that there will definitely be a lot of construction/workers in the compound even after they open the first phase.
I also understand that they are planning to move people in before the entire compound is ready to go. Same sort of thing happened at Radium but that place was about 90% completed when they moved the first families in. I'd say that Pearl is about 75% ready. The amenities are always the last things to come in. DH Tower, for example, still does not have a commissary or coffee shop but they're getting closer. Both should be open within the next month. This is close to a year after the first families moved into that place.
I would imagine that Pearl will have most of it's amenities ready by the end of the year; maybe early 2016. It's also good to remember that with the summer coming and temperatures getting hotter things slow down a bit. Most construction happens during the cooler parts of the year and at night during the summer.
