My RA told me that all single/bachelor status holder are currently getting accommodation in the Las Dunas compound. My work location is Dhahran ans I'm arriving at the end of March from the UK.

In 2013 there was some kind of internal issues with no regular visa blocks after June 2013, so it took 13 months to receive visa le, last 4-5 months for visa processing and notice period

Travelling on 1st April!

Hi all - I will be grateful if someone could help me out on my query. I am in a real dilemma on the timing of my resignation with my present employer. Having read various posts, it seems that one cannot be confident until the visa stamping happens and have tickets in hand to fly. But at the same time I cannot wait that far as I need to serve notice period too. Please help.

It is my very personal opinion based on my experience that you do inform your company but try to work until the very last day you will be in your Home Country. If you already know your departure date then try this, if you were planning on taking time off, do it before telling your company you are leaving, then, come back and give your notice.

There are people moving into all the compounds. It all depends on availability at the time of your arrival. Housing assignments are made the week of your arrival. You will usually be notified once the assignment has been made. Sometimes this is a day or 2 before you get on the plane, sometimes its earlier.
