o all, Our family is currently set to move in a few weeks to Rakkah and we have a baby due in late December. We've done the cord blood banking for both our other children (one born in Houston the other in Singapore), using the CBR company. They've quoted us a really high rate to have the specimen shipped back to the US this time and we wanted to see if anyone else had gone through the cord blood banking process in Saudi (at the John Hopkins hospital). Are the doctor's familiar with the process and what type of courier was used?
Thanks in advance for the help!

I am not sure if they do it here, but I kindly advise you to do more research about cord blood banking. I know every parent who does it has good intentions in doing so, but that blood belongs to your baby, and your baby needs it at birth. Please research 'delayed cord clamping'. If you would like, I can send you some articles about the benefits of delayed cord clamping and why it should be standard practice.
