On DT website they have different types and sizes for 2 bed room apartments.
Appreciate if some who one living in DT can help in providing the following information:
1)Are aramco leased 2 bed apartments consist of both sizes (158sqm and 193sqm) or are they just one of these two types?
2) If they are both types, then is any criteria being followed to determine who gets what? Eg distinguish family status vs bachelor status.
3) is there sufficent capacity to store things such as suitcases or kids bicycles etc. as floorplans are not very clear about stoe other than wardrobes.
I am just trying to get an idea of which 2bed we are likely to get as a family of 3 (couple and toddler). In your experience, have you been told before departure which type of apartment you will be based in?
P.s. I have been told that a mini mart for essential things and coffee shop is to be built within DT before end of this year which seems like a positive thing.
You really won't know what apartment you get until the week of your arrival. With one child you will get a 2 bedroom. The larger of the two styles is certainly better and has more room for stoe. I think in terms of criteria for assignment I think it is just what is ready and available. We see apartments being prepared for new arrivals all the time. These apartments have sat empty for months (even year or two) and need cleaned and outfitted with welcome package and basics. We store bicycles and other things in what they call "maid's bathroom". We have purchased IKEA wardrobes for our hallway to create extra stoe (we have larger 2 bedroom). There is space above closets (open space) for suitcases. A few folks have messaged me once they know apartment number (few days before arrival) and I have let them know what style their number is. Don't mind doing same once you know. We hear rumours of coffee shop and mini mart but no one here holding breath. It's all on Saudi time! Good luck with final preparations.
Pretty sure that is the smaller of the 2 bedroom types. City view with a bit of ocean view (I think). Have you seen the layouts online? Check out: dhtower.com/apartments.html and "Superior Living"...you can also get a floor plan on that page.....
We move to DT around the end of Oct. Is anyone who is currently living in DT willing to share a few pics of their apt so I can get a general ideaofthings I can buy for the apt ( ie. decorations, bedsheet colors, etc) I have seen pics on the DT website but cant tell if those are pics of ashow apt maybe? ( also, do the kitchens come equiped with a toaster oven or is it just a microwave?
